When you train at Elite Fitness, you’ll work with different members of our team. That rotation is an intentional part of the Merhi Method—and there’s a reason behind it.

All our trainers follow the same training philosophy. We’re working toward your goals with a shared approach, while each trainer brings slightly different exercise choices, coaching cues, and ways of delivering a session.

I believe those small differences add value to your training. Our team approach also gives you more flexibility to keep your workouts on schedule.

One method, more than one perspective

Let me give you an example.

A facility might have four different leg-press machines. I might favor one for a particular session. Another trainer might choose a different one, while a third trainer has another preference.

We’re still working toward the same goal, but the equipment, setup, and coaching can give you a different experience.

The same thing happens with instruction. One trainer might explain a movement in a way that immediately makes sense to you. Another might notice a detail in your positioning or give you a cue that helps you perform the exercise with more control.

That’s one reason I value having different trained eyes on our clients.

The differences are in the delivery

Even when trainers follow the same method, they won’t deliver every workout identically.

One trainer may arrange the exercises differently. Another may spend more time on a particular movement. There may be small differences in pacing, encouragement, or the number of appropriate sets completed during a session.

Those choices need to suit the person in front of us. An extra exercise isn’t automatically better, and moving faster isn’t automatically more productive. The question is whether the session provides an appropriate challenge while maintaining technique.

Whether your appointment is 30, 45, or 60 minutes, the purpose stays consistent: make that time productive for you.

Challenge, recovery, and progress

Resistance training challenges muscle tissue and can cause microscopic disruption as part of the training response. With recovery and consistent training, muscles adapt and can grow.

That microscopic disruption can happen, but it isn’t a requirement for an effective workout. We don’t judge a session by how sore you feel afterward. We look at how your training progresses over time. Research on muscle damage and growth ↗

My philosophy combines a consistent foundation with thoughtful variation. We want you to develop technique and recognize improvement while benefiting from different coaching perspectives.

Your time. Our team. One shared method.

At Elite Fitness, you have a team behind you. You book a training time that fits your schedule, and we coordinate which trainer will lead your session.

If 10 a.m. works best for you, our focus is on making that appointment happen. You don’t have to coordinate your availability around one particular trainer.

For more than 30 years, my clients have arrived knowing when they’re training, while discovering which member of our team they’ll work with that day. Your trainer knows in advance that you’re on their schedule and is ready to guide your session using the Merhi Method.

Your preferred times may change from week to week. Having a team gives us more options to accommodate those changes and helps keep a scheduling conflict from becoming a missed workout.

A shared commitment to your goals

You may want to build strength, lose body fat, improve your fitness, or feel more capable in everyday life. Each trainer brings their own perspective to helping you work toward those goals.

That’s the value of our rotation: individual coaching strengths, one shared method, and flexibility that helps you keep showing up.

The trainer may change. Our commitment to your progress stays consistent.
